The Spin

Pro-Iran narrative

Iran shutting down the strait is a direct consequence of the U.S. and Israel blowing past the terms of a post-war memorandum. Israel kept striking Lebanon even after a ceasefire was announced, hitting villages in the south and the Bekaa Valley. These attacks are deliberately blocking any path to stability in Lebanon.

Pro-Israel narrative

Hezbollah fired over 50 projectiles at IDF soldiers in southern Lebanon, making a mockery of any ceasefire agreement. Israel's strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure were a direct and necessary response to those blatant violations. Framing Israeli defensive action as aggression ignores who kept shooting first.
