The Spin

Pro-Israel narrative

Israel won't be dictated to by Tehran on Lebanon — the IDF remains in its security zones to protect Israeli citizens from Hezbollah, period. Every strike in southern Lebanon is a response to threats or attacks, and no memorandum negotiated without Israeli participation changes that security calculus. Letting Iran claim a veto over Israeli military decisions in Lebanon would hand Tehran influence it has neither earned nor has any right to exercise.

Anti-Israel narrative

Israel is blatantly violating the U.S.-Iran ceasefire agreement, racking up 84 violations in just two days while Lebanese civilians bear the consequences. Netanyahu's refusal to withdraw from southern Lebanon isn't sovereignty — it's a direct challenge to a deal that could help stabilize the region. Iran and Hezbollah are right to insist that a full Israeli withdrawal is essential for any lasting agreement, because ceasefires enforced on only one side rarely last.
